Classrooms

The Department of Clinical Nutrition has three classes for second, third and fourth year students. Each class can accommodate about 40 students. All classes are equipped with a computer and a projector.

 

 

Laboratories

There are three different study labs at the Department of Clinical Nutrition to serve practical training for students in different academic years.

 

 

1. Food Safety Lab

Where students learn about ready-to-eat foods and how to spot any spoiled foods. Students also learn preservation methods such as heating, freezing and fermenting.

 

 

2. Food Analysis Lab

Where students learn to analyze nutrients in foods, such as carbohydrates, fats, and proteins along with vitamins and minerals. Also, they learn about measuring foods acidity.

 

 

3. Clinical Skills Lab

Where students learn to carry out nutrition assessment and analyze the data they collect. The lab offers various tools to teach students how to measure weight, height, body muscles and body fat. Additionally, the lab contains a wide range of food models to familiarize students with standard food serving sizes.
